De politieke chaos in Nepal wordt er niet minder op nu de Maoïstische hardliner Mohan Baidya heeft aangekondigd – in samenzang met zijn kompaan Ram Bahadur Thapa – de Maoïstische partij te splitsen. De nieuwe partij van Baidya heet de Communist Party of Nepal, Maoist.
Er was drie dagen lang vergaderd: “The new party has 44-member central committee, comprising those who were in the central committee of the UCPN (M).
